Like most technology enthusiasts, Brad's love of computers began early on. During his freshman year in high school, he and a close friend pieced together his first computer from borrowed parts and Computerfest finds.
An Intel DX4 i486 processor (quite a chip at the time), an 600MB HDD that was louder than many a vehicle these days, CRT monitor, and last but not least, the unforgettable US Robotics 14.4kbps external modem was all that was needed to throw a burgeoning kid into the ever-fascinating world of I. T.
Brad is a long time IRC Operator and contributor to the DALnet, EFnet, IRCnet, and Freenode IRC networks. He is bit of a bibliophile, counting more books than shelves allow, a red wine and animal lover, and a professed fountain pen geek. He shares a love of history, ancient architecture and civilizations, and would love to see the castles and cathedrals of Europe.
He is a proud member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal order dedicated to philanthropy and charitable works. He lives with his cat, Sir Sylvester of Longwhisker in Germantown.
Please take a moment to welcome Brad to the Layer 2 Team!
