The longer your computer goes without these updates the more chance of security issues. As the count-down continues, cyber-criminals will target out-of-date systems you may be thinking about scheduling an upgrade. Click here to find help in choosing a new computer.
All Vista users will need to upgrade at some point as using it will expose your computer to risks such as:
Security risks: Your antivirus program is probably not going to stop attacks. Your risk increases each time you turn your computer on.
Compliance risks: This is important for business users especially for those working with sensitive, legal or private data. Many businesses are required to run an operating system that is regularly updated.
Software incompatibility: You will not be able to upgrade past the software that you have now and will soon be phased out of new options.
No support: Vista support was stopped in 2012 but there were work-rounds such as a Google search or a sympathetic support staff at Microsoft. All that stops as of April 11.
Windows Vista End-of-Life: What does this means for you? Simple! Upgrade your computer to Windows 10 before the April 11 deadline. Windows 10 will give you the most value over time and all of our protective services such as our Worry Free and Virus Free PC are compatible. Remember that Vista will work after April 11, but each day you use it puts you at a higher risk.
