Building a Better Network: Installation Complete

A few weeks ago, we shared a look at the behind-the-scenes work that goes into preparing for a business network upgrade. After plenty of planning, configuring, and bench testing, it was finally time to put everything in place.

The project included new managed switches, Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches, a Netgate firewall, and a new fiber connection between network racks. With the equipment preconfigured ahead of time, installation day was focused on getting everything installed, connected, brought online, and tested in real time.

One of our favorite parts of projects like this is seeing all of the planning come together. Hardware that started out spread across a workbench is now mounted in the rack, connected, labeled, and doing the job it was designed to do.

Of course, no project is complete without a few photos from the finished install. Brad and David wrapped up the project last week, and we're excited to share a few snapshots of the completed work. We always enjoy giving a behind-the-scenes look at the projects that help keep our clients connected.
